United Way of Mid Rural New York is proud to offer an interest-free microloan of up to $2,000, designed to support ALICE individuals and families facing unforeseen, short-term financial needs. Whether it’s getting your car back on the road so you can continue get to work, fixing a broken furnace in the middle of winter, or covering medical expenses that came out of nowhere—this microloan can provide the support you need to stay stable and keep moving forward.This loan can be used for college and certifications to further your career.The program may not be used for back rent or utilities. It is not intended to aid with recurring monthly bills. It is for those individuals who are part of our ALICE population. Working but struggling to make ends meet. You must be employed for a period greater than 6 months, attach a paystub and invoice of what you are needing to pay. UWMRNY pays vendors directly not individuals.
This is more than just a loan. It's part of a “Pay It Forward” initiative. You receive help when you need it most—and when you pay it back (over a period of up to two years, interest-free), you’re helping ensure that others in your community will have the same opportunity when they face hard times.
