Continuing the Spirit of Service: United Way of Mid Rural New York's Day of Caring
United Way of Mid Rural New York has continued its commitment to community well-being with the extension of its Day of Action into a Day of Caring for each county in the region. Building on the momentum from June’s initial Day of Action, these follow-up events have focused on supporting children's health and hygiene through the distribution of dental care kits to local schools.
Chenango County – A Team Effort with Raymond Corporation
The recent Chenango County Day of Action was a huge success, thanks to the incredible support of Raymond Corporation. Volunteers came together to assemble and deliver dental kits to students in grades Pre-K through 5 at schools throughout the county. These kits will help promote good oral hygiene habits among young learners and support overall student health.
Madison County – Powered by Local Partnerships
Shortly after, the Madison County Day of Action was completed with the help of valued community partners, including the Madison County Rural Health Council and the Madison Oral Health Partnership. Dental kits were delivered to all schools across Madison County, again focusing on students in grades Pre-K through 5. The collaboration between United Way and local health organizations demonstrates the power of partnership in creating healthier futures for our children.
Looking Ahead – Delaware and Otsego Counties
Next up, United Way of Mid Rural New York will complete the Day of Caring initiatives in Delaware and Otsego Counties, continuing the mission to ensure every child has the resources they need for a healthy start.
Thank you to all the volunteers, partners, and organizations who are making these efforts possible. United Way remains committed to improving lives and strengthening communities — one act of care at a time.
